Going through my grandparents belongings, have this push mower from my late poppy. It looks in mint condition. We’ve found heaps of spare parts to go with it (blades, spark plugs, filters) as well as a spare catcher & a brand new catcher. Also have the owners manual book for it

Hi everyone, just chasing some advice from anyone familiar with Queensland CTP claims after a serious crash, especially for self-employed truck drivers.
Last week my dad was involved in a major head-on crash on a highway in SEQ area. He was driving his Nissan tip truck with a dog trailer when another driver in a car crossed onto the wrong side of the road and hit him head-on. From what police told us, the other driver had finished night shift (from over 8 hours away) and apparently fell asleep at the wheel (allegedly)
Dad is physically injured and currently unable to work. The truck is pretty much destroyed and obviously off the road. Mum is currently dealing with hospital appointments, doctors, insurance, etc. They already have the truck insurance side going through NTI and have the police event number.
Dad is self-employed/sole trader, so there’s no WorkCover involved. We’re trying to wrap our heads around:
whether he can claim loss of income through the at-fault driver’s CTP insurer,
whether future loss of income can be claimed if he can’t return to driving,
and whether psychological injuries/PTSD/anxiety after the crash can also be included.
Mentally he’s pretty shaken up. Even once the physical injuries heal, I honestly don’t know whether he’ll cope getting back behind the wheel on highways after what happened.
We’re considering speaking to a lawyer but just wanted to hear from anyone who’s gone through something similar in Queensland:
What was the process like?
Did CTP cover psychological injuries?
How difficult was it proving self-employed income loss?
Anything we should be doing now to help the claim later?
Any advice would really be appreciated.
