Why does my Garmin watch record more calories from walking during an activity?

My gym workouts are usually 300-400 calories worth. But I often forget to stop the workout and it ends up including the walk from the gym. Today, this walk added on 400 calories, taking the activity to 700+.

But a 20 minute walk outside of an activity would burn a fraction of those calories, according to my Garmin. Why is it programmed like that?

Madcow - taking a week off?

I’m going on holiday (vacation) for a week to a place with no access to a gym.

I started Madcow a few weeks ago and I’m loving it.

After a week off, can I just pick up where I left off, or should I deload slightly? I’d prefer not to deload as the program starts you from a light base. Thanks in advance
