Put frozen grilled chicken breasts in the fridge accidentally - packaging says keep frozen - can I still eat these?
I’m home sick so I ordered a few groceries via delivery app today. I didn’t realize these came frozen (and somehow I didn’t notice when they arrived, when I put them in my fridge). I normally buy the ones in the refrigerated section. This evening I went to grab a few to toss into a salad and I noticed one felt half frozen. I thought maybe my fridge was acting up but no, these came frozen.. and have labelling suggesting they need to stay frozen until right before being “cooked”. They are already fully cooked before being frozen. But they have now thawed.
Do I need to toss these or can I keep them in the fridge for a few days?
And if so, can I eat them cold straight from the fridge as I intended, or do they need to be heated and reach 165 like the packaging suggests?
