A hiring company gave a triple whammy

I applied for a job that I am very qualified for.

At first they sent me a rejection email (fine, the job market is atrocious lately, it hurts but that’s the game), just for a couple of hours later say it was a mistake and they actually want to meet me (emotional rollercoaster)

Today, the day of the interview, I got up early, made my office very cute and such, played with the lighting, logged into Teams 30 min before so see how it would look on camera, looks cool, 3 min before the meeting I join it, and I wait…and wait…and wait.

5 min later I email the person and say something like “hey I am in the meeting, hopefully everything is okay, just check that this is the link etc..”. Nothing.

I stay 20 more min and then leave.

That was the second whammy.

I am upset but whatever. However as time passed by I grew increasingly more upset, about how unprofessional and unfair this whole thing was. The economy is rough and how dare they treat people like this. So I emailed the main email of the company explaining the situation and hoping the person who was supposed to interview me was okay.

Only then did I get an email from that person, saying they were in the meeting but didnt see me so they left after 5 min (not true, also why not answer my email asking where she was then), and that thanks for emailing globaly the company and in the meantime they found a better candidate.

I can’t believe the audacity of this person.

I could let it go or answer one last time with my log times into Teams to them AND the company. Or I dont know, I just hate how big companies think they can treat people however they want
