Question | 2026 Essential Mods

Is there any hardcore mudrunner players that can suggest Shaders/Graphics, Interface and other Quality of Life mods?

I'm a returning player since the beginning of the year on the Steam version and I'm playing a lot with a friend. We are now playing on hardcore mode and this is a lot of fun. We are using created maps and trucks from the Steam Workshop.

But since we're putting so much time in the game, we are also annoyed by stupid things in the interface, such as not being able to "search" a mod in the list I'm subscribed in the Steam workshop or by clicking/hovering the mod name to have a little description of the type of mod (level/map, truck, etc). I can point a lot of other things out, but the point is to ask if there's Quality of Life mods out there. I found some website, but I don't know if there's still relevant things or compatibility with the actual version in 2026.

I also found a list a 5-6 shaders, but it's difficult to know which one is the one I need. I'm not really good into installing mods, but I'm not totally bad too. It's just hard to find what's the best actual "build".

I'd like to see what could add more fun to the game and if someone can actually help me and my friend too have more enjoyable playtime. If that matter, me and my friend have good PC, and for me I'd be willing to learn how to mod certain things if accessible. Any tips would be appreciated!

Thanks and have a great muddy day

"Amazon Bipod" while waiting Accu-Tac one (Backorder)

Hi my fellow longrangers! What would be a cheap bipod I could find on the internet while I'm waiting for an order I placed last week. I'm ordering a Accu-Tac PC-5 but there's actually over a month a wait in Canada. Specially the one that comes with an Arca mount.

Now I know there's a lot of review and there's people that likes some models, but I want to open the discussion here. I'd like something with an already Arca mount on it, if possible. I'm not going to do PRS match with it, just have some fun. What bipod would you suggest to look into by your experience, at a reasonable price, under $70?

Thanks for reading!

(Bonus : if you have any fun stories about cheap bipods that would be a big bonus. I'd like to hear some stupid design or bipod that has failed)

EDIT : To be honest guys I know they are dogshit. I just want have fun. I'm not looking to be mindblown by a $40. I've shoot more than I'd like to admit to ask this question around. Just want to have stupid fun time with something I could use as a target when I'm done.

MDT 20 moa rail + MDT 1.25" Scope Rings ?

Hey guys I wanted to know what does it sound to you. I’m looking to buy a rifle that comes with a picatiny rail that has been replaced by a 20moa one from MDT. The owner says that it helps with long range.

Now I’ve already bought a 1.25" scope rings on a entry level precision scope; does it sound alright? I don’t know anything yet about scope height and setup theory. I just want to know if I have to change something or if it’s totally alright?

I’m planning to learn and practice long range shooting this year and I don’t have a lot of amateur/experienced people around me.

Additional info : I have a more hunter oriented chassis that I will swap the precision chassis with to go hunting with the said rifle. Id keep the same scope/rail setup, but it will not shoot long distance like once a year. Would it be alright in the case a 20moa rail + 1.25" scope rings are paired together?

I try to learn and listen a lot of what people has to teach. Keep in mind that I will not be a professional shooter that wants to get everything perfect for a price out of this world if that make any sense. I just want to enjoy some free time outside with friends while learning the essentials along the way. Thanks again guys.

Quick Review and Questions after 2 hours of testing the game (Camera, Missing Key Binding Options, Logitech RS50 Wheel ...)

First of all, hi everybody. This game is promising a lot, but here's some things I can't get out of my head and it will make me stop playing really soon if I can't get over it. I don't know if the devs are lurking around the subreddit and hope any other experienced players could share their thoughts about what I'm going to talk. Keep in mind that I'm using the Logitech RS50 wheel with pro pedals, 2026 h-pattern shifter and the handbrake.

  • Camera in 3rd person view is switching automatically 180 degree so I can see where I'm backing up, but there's no way to deactivate this feature. I would like it to stay pointing to the front because with a sim wheel. I already know where I'm backing up and I don't want to view behind me, unless I press a dedicated button to experience this.
  • Missing possibily to keybind a LOT of basic fonction. For example I want to keep my hands on the wheel to "answer" a call. But once the call accepted, to initiate the race I have to reach my keyboard to press "Enter". I CANNOT MAP "enter" fonction to my wheel. The option simply does not exist. As well as direction pad, action/accept button, back/escape button, and it goes on and on. It could make to game so much enjoyable. A lot of non power users will no play this game only for this. Too complicated for the price in my opinion.
  • My wheel is recognized, but I have to map everything, even in RS mode. If I'm not mistaken Logitech wanted this mode to be recognized as close as a Xbox or PS controller.
  • Reaching a challenge and starting it : if we forget that this is a pain in the arse to initiate the challenge by pressing the "Enter" key on the keyboard when you have both hands on the wheel, there's another deception : you have to be so much in the center of the challenge "beam" that you miss it really often and have to back up a lot.

So here's what I've noted for the moment. I don't intend to be negative, just to be objective. The game vibe is crazy. Music is awesome. HUD is cool.

Tell me what are your thoughts on this guys. Have a good one!
