Do the Sabbat control the rest of Mexico outside of the capital city? And when did they take control?

In the pre-v5 fluff, CDMX is basically the world capital of the Sabbat. Does their control extend to other cities like Tijuana or Guadalajara or [...]? And do they have total control, or are they still being contested by the Camarilla or the Anarchs?

Also, when did the Sabbat become so big here? Because they're so prominent in Spain and in the Catholic Church, does that mean that they mostly took control of Mexico in the 1500s and 1600s? Have they had influence on things like the Mexican War of Independence, the French invasion in the 1860s, the revolution in the 1910s, or even (in light of their control of Miami and NYC) the drug war?

Does the book Mexico City by Night only cover CDMX, or does it explain some of what was going on in other parts of the country? I'm trying to create a backstory for a Mexican Camarilla kindred that was embraced in the 1910s and who hates the Sabbat, and some context of vampiric politics throughout the country and throughout the ages might help me out.

Where to move when starting a new job in Manassas?

I currently live in the Ballston neighborhood in Arlington. This has worked just fine for me for the last few years since my job was a short walk from my apartment. But I'm about to start a new job out in Manassas, and that's definitely going to be a commute.

I drove out to the work location on the weekend, which wasn't too bad. I think I could tolerate it, but it might be better to move closer. I see three options:

  1. Stay in Arlington and deal with the commute and the toll fees. How much are those fees going to be?

  2. Move to Manassas and enjoy a much shorter daily commute and a likely lower cost of living. In that case, how are the areas in and around Manassas in terms of stuff to do and people to meet?

  3. Compromise and move to somewhere like Fairfax or Chantilly. How viable is that? How easy is it to get to Arlington or DC via car or metro? How much stuff is there to do in these towns?

My PC was an Italian Fascista army officer that got killed in the Spanish Civil War fighting alongside the Spanish Nationalists and then got Embraced by Clan Ventrue. I figured that that whole background makes enough sense for the sort of character that I'm running, but I'd like to flesh it out a bit more if I can. So in light of that...

First of all, given that Spain was and still is a Lasombra stronghold, what were they up to during the SCW? Did they back one side over the other? Did different Lasombra sub-factions back separate sides in the war? Or did the whole clan just sit back and enjoy the war while doing what they always do?

Second, what was Ventrue doing in Europe in the 1920s and 30s? Did they (or Clan Giovanni) have any input on the events that led to Mussolini's rise?

Third, did Ventrue ever try to make moves in Spain against Lasombra? Would Ventrue have had any hand in either the rise of the Second Spanish Republic or in the military coup in 1936 that led to Franco taking power?

And finally, what would this have to do with my PC? Who would my vampiric sire have been? Would my PC have any personal reason to hate Lasombra either before or after getting killed?

Also, as a side question, do vampire clans ever try to yoink away each other's prospects? Is it possible that Lasombra was trying to do that thing that it usually does to its non-shovelhead candidates to my PC, but Ventrue was grooming me at the same time and just got to me first?

Also also, I'm playing a V5 chronicle that's set in a time period before Lasombra joined the Camarilla, if that's relevant.
