Hello, I am brand new to 3D printing. I am printing on an X2D and everything setup nice and easy and I printed my first panda with zero issues.

The wife wanted me to print a ring holder octopus and it looked like a fairly simple print job. My first 2 attempts, 1 of the tentacles kept releasing from the board and then spaghetti. Stopped both those before it got out of hand and cleaned the plate in between with a dry microfiber towel.

The 3rd attempt i slowed the job down to the slowest preset and it seemed to be doing fine until it got to the tallest point of the tentacles and all the supports came loose and spaghetti again.

Do I need adhesive or.......?
