Time for a transplant or am I jumping the gun?

I can be impulsive so I wanted to get some other, unbiased opinions on this.

I’m 26, NW2.5? (Not sure if it’s closer to 2 or 3 but you can see the pics). My hairline matured in my late teens, but I started suspecting I was balding around 22-23 and confirmed it when I was 24.

I’ve been on fin + min for just over 1.5 years now with no side effects. Cant say that it’s improved anything really (maybe helped with density but starting meds coincided with me growing my hair out so hard to say, and while my hair is thinner than it used to be I don’t think I’m showing any signs of diffuse thinning), kept my hairline stable for a while but in February of this year my hair started shedding significantly & my temples as well as general hairline seemed to start receding more. I did some research and some people mentioned having “second sheds” on finasteride, but from what I’ve gathered that’s only anecdotal evidence and there’s no scientific literature mentioning anything about continued shedding after the initial shed.

After months of this continued “shed” and recession, I got anxious and more and more obsessive about hair and hairlines, and came across this subreddit a few weeks ago. Before coming here I thought that

a. My recession wasn’t bad enough for a transplant yet
&
b. I was too young for a transplant

but after seeing people younger than me and with better hairlines than me getting work done I pretty much got convinced that I should absolutely do it sooner rather than later.

Of course nobody can tell me whether it’s “worth it” to me as that’s a very personal decision, but given my age, time on medication, and current hair loss situation do you think I should consider going for it, or absolutely wait until I’m older and/or have worse hair loss?

Thanks in advance for anyone who reads all this lol
