Anyone here ever used the Kinotone pedals? I’ve really been wanting to check out Ribbons in particular and Sparks seems very cool as well. If you own Ribbons, is it worth owning or can zoia get close?
Any patch recommendations for getting close to the Ribbons? I’m not crazy about the lofi/tape patches I’ve found so far as it’s mostly just modulated white noise to my ears like white noise and vibrato and/or an LFO. I wasn’t a big fan of CBA’s gen loss mk2 either, tho. I do like the VHS cassette patches one of y’all made.
I may try to make a Ribbons patch tonight but I don’t own the pedal so it would be emulating what I’ve heard on demos, plus the 4 x stereo loopers. Any of you talented sound designers feel up to it?
I wouldn’t draft him as my weekly TE but I’m in a super flex league this year with 2 RB/WR/TE flex spots so I may grab him late as it does count 1pt per reception as well even though it isn’t full PPR with points per completion which I don’t care for.
What do you guys think about Ferg’s fantasy value knowing they passed on adding any high draft depth at WR and clearly have big plans for Ferguson? How it works out, we will see, but we know McVay loves him and he’s extremely talented and athletic to create matchup nightmares with how diverse their packages will be this year.

Lost + Found and, sonically, the two live in such similar sonic territory of shoegaze, dream pop with the ambient smearing.
Looking forward to one of you talented sound designers making a killer Bad Mood patch as it has some fun tricks up its sleeve. Even using delay line chicanery to mimick the clock knob would be nice as I love the combination of speed and sample rate combined on one knob to be midi mapped.

Noticed Mumpf and Whit didn’t play in the Chiefs game. Is it safe to say he and Whit have the WR3 position locked down for now or did either of them have an injury designation? I didn’t see anything after a quick search. Team looked great and Klare had a nice showing along with the other standouts so I’m loving the strong 13 TE presence but still feel like having a burner outside for rotational situations would be nice! X-man might be their fastest of the reserve wideouts

Amazing for ambient and soundscape type vibes or gritty stutters with the bit crush/sample rate reduction - happy to keep it or rehome it honestly.

Been playing since the Sega Genesis, why stop now? Got it tax-free for some reason at GameStop so $69.99 for a year of football fun. I’ve never played with any team except the Rams in last year’s game but I may be intrigued enough to check out a few other squads this year for the rookies. Hope the playbook hasn’t changed a ton and that 13 personnel is an option!!

Up for grabs is an A+ Oxi E16 with case, running the latest firmware with extended automation recording time. Plastic still on the screen, perfect condition with the case and factory box. Super powerful midi controller, basically like having 16 LFOs or macro LFOs with knob movement recording. Pretty awesome but I need to free up some cash.

I’ve stepped back from synth purchases this year as I feel like I’ve got the perfect studio for my 2026 (OT, TV, Digitone II, Rytm, Tempest, Force, DFAM, Heat, Oxi E16, Ableton, IPad Pro) and instead focused on curating a nice set of pedals that compliment my gear very nicely for sound design.
I’m running everything in series into a Chase Bliss Mood MK2, Lost + Found, Chroma Console and ZOIA with Analog Heat end of chain and a Fractal Audio Axe FX 2 XL in parallel. Amazing sound design fun! I’ve been capturing long performance loops on TV primarily since it’s the fastest and some awesome stuff has come out of grainer destruction sessions and it’s so easy to copy everything over to Octatrack for slicing and timestretch/pitch manipulation.
TV is still my newest machine having just gotten it in April so I’m looking for some FX advice on what your go to FX approaches are for digital degradation, artifact enhancement, glitch, “spectral freeze/FFT” type vibes, etc. Degrader and Dirtshaper jump out as the obvious ones but I’m still learning more about them all and wondered what hidden gems and Easter eggs you’ve come across? With so many LFOs onboard, the sheer amount of simultaneous FX with all of the routing options, send ability to bring in external fx- what have been some of your biggest TV breakthroughs?
My most used technique is the use of the mix track FX as octatrack “master track” scenes by mapping the wet/dry to the Oxi E16 as my crossfader. The new firmware that just dropped gives users 60 seconds of CC gesture recording, up to a total of 6 (or 8??) minutes per bank. Talk about a game changer! The E16 may quietly be the most powerful piece of gear I’ve purchased in a very long time as it integrates so smoothly with everything and Elektron generously exposed nearly every parameter on Tonverk to a corresponding CC which leads to endless possibilities. Can’t wait to see what else they bring to this guy, especially usb host to open up the floodgates on the inputs! It feels so squeezed only having TWO in 2026. 😩 Intrigued to see what OB is going to look like once it’s ready.
Hey all, I’m definitely not an amazing Zoia programmer so I’m consistently amazed at the amount of talent and work I see across patchstorage. Any recommendations for digital degradation patches similar to the Goodhertz Lossy plugin and Chase bliss pedal collaboration?
I use the plugin quite a bit so I’ve been thinking about grabbing the pedal as I much prefer twiddling knobs but Zoia does *so much* that I thought I’d see what others are using for their digital mangling, glitch, freeze, stutter vibes. I’ve downloaded a ton of patches so I’m filtering through them and thought I’d see which have become part of your frequent rotation. Thanks!
