reuters.comRecently requiring significantly less insulin. Looking for input on this blessing
I have been a T1 Diabetic for just over 2 years now (LADA) and have recently run into a confusing situation. Since my diagnosis my circumstances have led me to becoming considerably more active, with the culmination of that being a 10 mile run through my city. Since that day my insulin needs have dropped considerably and I'm curious if anyone else has run into anything similar. I play in compettive flag football league 1 day a week and rock climb 1-2 other days. But I've participated in these activities for almost a year and I haven't seen any kind of results like these. I've even reduced my long acting insulin dose from 19 units a day at my highest to now 15 units a day and my fast acting insulin needs seem to have been cut in half. My insulin also seems to kick in before any carbs I eat which also seems to defy any kind of information I've seen regarding insulin and diabetes. Please excuse me if these seems rambly I'm just very confused in a positive way
