One good thing, or maybe one of the very few good things, about Flipkart 😅

Purchased a phone recently. Paid the minimum required amount via card to trigger the ₹2,000 instant discount, and paid the rest using Flipkart gift cards bought through multiplier offers and instant discounts.

You can basically club both benefits on the same purchase.

Just make sure your gift card balance is lower than the amount you want to pay through gift cards, since Flipkart doesn’t let you choose how much of the gift card balance to use.

Axis Grab Deals is quite underrated.

A lot of top brands come under the 5X EDGE Rewards category, and with M4B, the return can go up to around 24%.

The rewards do take time to post and sometimes may not get credited automatically. I usually screen-record the entire purchase flow, so if the points don’t come through, I have proof to escalate it.

This PharmEasy 10X trick worked for me.

Placed the order normally on PharmEasy, applied a coupon, and chose COD.

Then opened PharmEasy via PayZapp 10X, went to Order History, and paid using my HDFC card.

Just make sure the OTP message shows “PHARMEASY V” or “PHARMEASY VIA SMARTBUY” as the merchant.

Got the coupon discount + 10X rewards as well.

Amex Platinum Travel has been devalued. Again. 💀

Milestone rewards have been slashed, and domestic lounge access will now be tied to quarterly spend.

For a card whose biggest selling point was milestone rewards, this is a brutal cut.

Hotel Irada Review – Beautiful Rooms, Great Food & Warm Hospitality, But Does It Justify ₹30,000+ a Night? - Hotels Review

Hotel Irada had been on my list for a while.

A stunning design hotel, an award-winning restaurant, rooms going for ₹30,000+ a night, and plenty of hype around it.

After spending two nights here, did it actually live up to the expectations?

Axis Bank Announces Major Credit Card Changes Across Portfolio: Atlas, Magnus, SELECT, Reserve & More Impacted

🚨 Axis Bank has announced major changes across its credit card portfolio.

Atlas, Magnus, SELECT, Reserve, Olympus, Privilege, MY ZONE, NEO and several other cards are affected with changes to gift card rewards, lounge access, DCC, entertainment benefits, fee waivers and more.

I've covered all the key changes, the cards impacted, and what they actually mean for cardholders. Link attached.

Axis MAGNUS for BURGUNDY devaluation from 28 Aug 2026

Here's what's changing:

- DCC markup increased from 1.5% → 2%

- Gift card purchases: Axis now says gift card spends will not earn rewards and won't count towards fee waiver spends. The wording is a bit odd since they aren't currently excluded in practice, so we'll need to see how this is implemented.

- Tolls / Road & Bridge Fees (FASTag): No reward points from 28 Aug.

- Priority Pass: Can no longer be used for domestic airport lounges in India. Use your MAGNUS for BURGUNDY card + boarding pass instead.

- International lounge access via Priority Pass remains unchanged, including lounges at Indian international terminals after immigration.

Link: https://campaign.axis.bank.in/generic/terms-and-conditions-magnus-burgundy.pdf

These changes are expected to apply to regular MAGNUS and other Axis cards as well like Atlas.

What do you think? Another round of devaluations, or are these changes manageable?

Axis devaluation rumours: What's your plan?

Rumours of Axis transfer ratios being revised are doing the rounds. Have you already transferred your Axis Rewards points?

Transferred my Axis Points to Air India and Flying Blue. Bilkul ricks nahi lene ka. 😅

Group A quota was already exhausted on Accor before it was removed.

For Group B, I went with Air India because the inclusion of Air India Express for points redemption has opened up more options. And taking an Air India flight from Mumbai will always remain a option.

Flying Blue was the other pick because it is also a 1:1 transfer partner with HDFC, so I can top up the miles later if required. I used Flying Blue extensively during my Vietnam trip to book domestic Vietnam Airlines flights.

I have some more Axis Points coming in next month. Hopefully, hamla achanak se nahi hoga! 😅

Savdhan rahein, Satark rahein 🚨

📍 Irada

The property has a helipad with one of the best views around. From here, you can see the vineyards, the hotel, and the sunset all in one frame. If you're staying here, it's worth spending a few minutes here in the evening. 🌅🍇
