Home smart devices, how do you guys keep track of everything?

I’ve reached that point where my setup is getting a little too bloated and losing my mind trying to keep it organized. Started out simple with just some Hue bulbs and plugs, but lately I've added a smart lock, a Ring doorbell, and a couple of security cameras out front, plus some Aqara motion sensors to trigger the entryway lights when we walk in.

When it works, it's great. But lately it feels like a house of cards. There’s a 5 second delay between the camera seeing me and the door actually unlocking. My routines are starting to fight each other. Yesterday my roommate manually locked the door, but a stray motion sensor trigger overrode it and unlocked it again.

It's tiring to bounce between 4 different apps just to check on things.

Does anyone have suggestions to keep things "under control"?

Security for smart devices at home

I enjoy trying out new smart gadgets and I’ve been thinking more about how much data these devices might be sending out. Not in a paranoid way, just never really questioned it before.

Do people actually monitor or control this somehow, or just trust the default setup?

Just want to share

Some projects come and go. Deeper’s been part of my setup for 3+ years already. Copying the Spotify trend, this project deserves more attention. 😄

Genuine question, other than subscribing to YouTube Premium, are there any ways to avoid ads on YouTube? Adblocker stopped working after a few months. Not sure if this is violating the rules. Just curious what people are using these days.

Curious if anyone else became way more cautious with random Wi-Fi after working remotely

I used to connect to anything and never think twice. Now I catch myself checking networks constantly while traveling.

Did your setup routine change over time too?

Since moving back to Asia, some shows/movies are not available on Max. I use the Mini to protect my network, encryption stuff. Forgot that App Relocation can be handy to change tunnels. After I switched to the US tunnel, I got to watch Dust Bunny. Regardless the movie is good or bad ( was recommended by a friend). I enjoy the app relocator feature. Def makes it easier than entering the domain. Been a happy user for more than 2 years, this project def needs to be seen!

I have a Samsung phone and am currently traveling and hitting a weird wall. My VPN works on my phone, but my laptop won't route traffic. Any ideas why?
