We've been closely monitoring your feedback and reports since launch, and a huge thanks to everyone who has been active in helping us identify some key issues. Thanks to your contributions, we've now release our first update, which has been designed around addressing the most prevalent issues we've had brought to our attention over the last couple of days.

FYI: We are continuing to address server issues and outages and have implemented a number of DDOS protections and are still working to get to the bottom of some other common issues (such as groups/teams appearing in solo matches), but we've made a lot of progress and we hope to have the majority of these resolved in our next update. Bear with us, we'll keep you updated.

Important PSA: Character "Deletion" Fix + Temporary Extraction Loot Bug Workaround

Two common issues players are running into right now:

  1. Character "Deleted" / Missing Progress

- Many players think their character got deleted, but it's usually just a region mismatch.

  • The game sometimes defaults to a different region than the one you last played on.
  • Fix: Go to the Title Screen → check your region → switch back to the same one you were playing on.

Your character and progress should be there.

  1. Loot Voiding on Extraction (Temporary Workaround)

- There's currently a bug where loot can disappear during extraction (especially on Voyage, but also reported on Storm Dive).Current best workaround (credit to Nyfot and the community on Discord):

For Teams:

  • Let the Captain extract with the ship by rope (can carry a box with important items).
  • Everyone else puts all their loot from their inventory into the Trampler (use boxes).
  • Wait until the ship has fully left.
  • Once the “Call for Extract” icon appears again → press ESC and Respawn.

For Solo:

  • Skip the first step, load everything into the Trampler, send the ship, wait for it to leave, then respawn when the extract icon shows up.

Server Maintenance

Hey All,

Server Maintenance has now concluded!

We've been following your reports and feedback since launch yesterday and have prepared a hotfix to address some of the more prominent issues that have been brought to our attention. Please note that this hotfix will not require a game update, as it is implemented directly into the servers.

Changelist:

  • Implemented additional DDOS protections ahead of more permanent solutions
  • Fixed matchmaking issues when solo players were placed against teams
  • Fixed an issue when players were stuck on "Waiting for rival expeditions"
  • This issue occurred when the servers didn't close properly
  • Numerous other under the hood server-side changes

Some other issues are taking a little longer to identify and resolve, but are being worked on actively with a view to release a full update tomorrow. To keep you all updated, some of our current priorities include:

  • Disconnects/loot loss on extract
  • Visual issues/lack of DLSS in menus
  • Wider server issues/DDOS protection
  • Optimization/performance
  • Crash reports

Thank you all for bringing these issues to our attention, we hope to have all of them resolved pronto and will keep you updated on our progress.

Game Status Update

We're aware of issues with connecting to/disconnections from servers (largely caused by a suspected DDOS attack), groups appearing in solo matches, graphics issues/lack of DLSS in the menu and issues with losing loot upon extraction.

These are our current 4 priorities to address and the team are working on them as we speak. First order of business is to solidify our DDOS protection, after which we will focus on the other issues detailed.

Appreciate everyone's patience and for you folks bringing this to our attention, we're working to get this resolved asap.

About the delay on release

In case you missed the last announcement.

We made some final changes to the Steam page in preparation for launch, a couple of wires got crossed that we need Valves help us uncross, so we're expecting the game will launch an hour or two later than the scheduled release times we shared previously.

We'll keep you updated, looking forward to seeing you all on Sophie in a couple of hours!
