Dealer Service
Own a used 2024 MDX Type S, purchased at a dealer about an hour from home. Had full certification service done when purchased, etc ...
Recently brought it in to dealer closer to home for required service as prompted by vehicle. I waited for vehicle and Rep came out to tell me due to vehicles mileage certain things needed to be done. I know they're always trying to upsell and service is where they make a good bit of change. The stuff he suggested due to mileage had been done as part of certification service less than couple of thousand miles earlier. I pointed that out and his reply was that he couldn't tell what had been done at other dealer. I refused that portion of work.
Now I get email from original dealer that certain service is overdue, which is what I had done at my local dealer.
Do these dealerships not share service info in a common network of some sort? Ridiculous for a "luxury" brand. Of course convenient in order to sell unnecessary stuff.
