Does DDU clean anything AMD Cleanup Utility does not?

If all I'm doing is prepping for an AMD driver update, and not switching from Nvidia to AMD (and have already used DDU once to clean out all the old Nvidia stuff), is there any reason not to just use AMD Cleanup Utility moving forward? It strips everything down to the "Microsoft Basic Display Adapter" driver, so there's not even any AMD leftovers before installing the new version of Adrenaline.

Why are Adrenaline 26.5.1/2 drivers causing Device Manager to disable 9070's?

I've read from several places on Reddit (Some on r/radeon some in this sub-reddit here) that 26.5.1/2 include clock boosts or voltage tweaks or some such.

If this is the case, it would explain why there's so many reports from 9070 XT owners saying they get a crash while doing nothing at all except running a browser, followed by a restart and finding their cards are disable in Device Manager.

These boosts aren't mentioned in the release notes for either update. Where is this information coming from?

It doesn't make sense that AMD would push boosts like this with all the makes and models out there, some of them already OC'd at the factory (Mine is a ASUS Tuf Gaming OC model), as that would break a whole bunch of stuff.

Are you experiencing crashes and "Device Disabled" errors after updating to Adrenaline 26.5.2?

Radeon RX 9070 XT (ASUS Tuf Gaming OC 16GB)
Windows 11 Pro 25H2 26200.8457
Ryzen 9 7950X3D
ASUS Tuf X670E-Plus Wifi, BIOS version 3854
32GB RAM
1000W ASUS Tuf (noticing a theme yet?) PSU

The purpose of this post is to collate similar incidences after updating to the latest version of Adrenaline, which as of now is 26.5.2. The hope is someone at AMD passes through here and sees it.

So over the last couple days I've experienced some hard video crashes while doing simple things like watching Youtube. Not even intensive tasks like a demanding game. The video will freeze, the audio will stutter but continue on for a while, and then finally the monitor goes black, as if someone just yanked the display cable.

After forcing a reboot and getting back into Windows, I find that Device Manager has disabled my card, and I have to re-enable and restart a second time to get it going again.

This morning I decided to boot into Safe Mode and use DDU and AMD Cleanup Utility to roll everything back to Adrenaline 26.3.1, which the release notes for 26.5.2 recommends as the last stable release. I don't want to say "It worked" until I've gone the next few days without another one of these crashes.

Again, the reason I'm posting this is to just get a bunch of people and their system configs saying "Yes, this happened to me", if it has, just so someone at AMD notices. The bug report tool never shows up, and Windows doesn't make a .DMP, so there's no BSOD that they're getting telemetry from, so I figrure this is the only way to make a mass report of the issue.
