why am I seeing so much anti-trans man hate in the community?

Recently I’ve been seeing a lot of narratives in the community (predominantly trans women and transfemmes) claiming that 1) trans men’s experience with oppression under the patriarchy is invalid because they now identify as men, 2) that trans men all have male privilege, 3) that they’re just as harmful as cis men, and 4) that they’re, as a rule, awful to trans women.

Can someone tell me what I missed? I get that some trans men encompass some of these qualities, but in my experience (and I’ve met genuinely hundreds of trans people over the past 15 years) reality isn’t like that at all. Are some of these points kind of “chronically online” or does this maybe vary per location due to separate queer cultures?

Review - Glitter Bomb (Glass Pharms)

I feel as though it’s my civic duty to review this strain.

I ordered it on account of it being described as calming, and good for evening use.

Looks: 8/10
Honestly I wish I had taken a photo off the bat, soon as I opened the jar. This is a really beautiful looking strain, with nice crystals and striking swirls of frosty purple and orange. The bud is bouncy, but grinds up perfectly and leaves an army of kief behind it. Plenty of big 1-2g nugs in there, and a few babies.

Smell: 7/10
Lots of pine and earthy fumes coming out of the tin, a strong (but not offensive) smell. I’m getting some floral in there too, almost like a nice tea.

Taste: 5/10
Not a fan of the earthy taste. Tastes like it smells. Leaves a bit of a musty aftertaste. Each to their own.

Effect: 3.5/10
I cannot stress enough that I regret almost every puff I’ve had of this strain. It does nothing for my pain, and even more nothing for my mood - I would say this strain’s only purpose is to knock you out at night. And don’t expect any euphoric buzz, you literally feel as though you’ve popped a sleeping tablet. I struggled massively awaiting my reup, because it just felt like I had no medication. Now, don’t let this put you off - if you suffer from insomnia, you’re going to want to order this right away. I’ll even grind some up and pop it into my nighttime bowl, mixed with another strain, because it does certainly work for sleeping. But I’m disappointed overall, because I like my strains versatile, to treat many symptoms at once.

Does everyone’s doctor recommend T breaks?

Just coming to ask if this is a normal suggestion from a doctor, as I’ve read nothing from other people about it on this sub, and my previous appointments and follow ups had no mention of it.

I asked for a THC increase to try certain strains that I heard were effective for my symptoms, and was told I’ll have to just use oil and take T breaks. She asked me if I was taking 2 days off vaping a week and I told her no (again, it wasn’t suggested to me before) and explained that I have constant pain that OTT meds don’t touch. She said I could use a low THC or balanced strain to do it, and I agreed to try that.

After years of self-medicating, it feels very odd to have someone else call the shots for me, but I’m totally open to cycling my consumption - I just have never heard of a doctor recommending this in lieu of an increase, particularly with only a mild association with depression and work stress in my medical history. I feel a bit bummed that I can’t try some of highly regarded strains that sit at around 26/27%, and confused as to what warrants a higher THC prescription.

Anyone else having this experience?

Review - High Silver (Curaleaf)

Appearance:
Small, dense buds. Dark in colour, not much sparkle. Not too dry though, decent texture. Not much to look at, difficult to get a good picture.

Smell:
Honestly this strain smells beautiful, it just bursts straight out of the bag as soon as you open it up. Gassy and citrusy, really reminds me of diesel strains.

Taste: fruity on inhalation, the citrus takes over the flavour and you aren’t left with too gassy an aftertaste

Effect: Hits fairly quickly, and hits harder than I’d have expected from a budget strain. Definitely some visual effects, i find it great for ADHD (focus aspect) and for my mood. Helps with pain too. A little goes a long way with this strain, and can make you a bit spacey if used in a high quantity (would recommend starting the task before or during the dose, or else you may get lost in the sauce), but for me there’s been no paranoia which is great. I find it dreamy, reliable, and great value for the price (£55 per 10g on CB1).

I also have some Citroli (4C) which turned out to be a muted, cheesy slow-hitter and nothing to brag about on this post. Disappointing, given its price and high %. I’ve also ordered some glitter bomb (GP) and I have high hopes.

What have you guys been vaping?

I just got prescribed and I was looking forward to the selection for so long… but I actually find it overwhelming! I just ordered Tangerine Boost in a panic because there were simply too many strains to research, and half of them were out of stock. Earlier this month I panicked and accidentally ordered a fully CBD strain lol.

I usually look for strains that ease anxiety without couch-locking, and help with creativity and focus. Usually hybrids or sativas.

The best strain I ever smoked years ago was Mimosa. It was such a nice high, could use it for anything. I’m hearing bad things about Upstate’s mimosa strains so I was wondering if anyone creative who suffers from chronic pain, ADHD, depression, anxiety etc have like a God strain they swear by? I’d love some direction.

Thank you!
