So I just got off the phone with fafsa since I’m a grad student in only getting half my loans from what the guy has told me the person who I talked to straight up lied to me or was unaware of the new bill congress passed. Which is unfortunate now I have to wait for the 20th to get my reduced amount. 🫥 so yeah if anyone is here doing grad school just fyi. Only pertains to half time students

I’ve been positing and commenting on this thread for awhile and I like to make everyone aware of post. People like myself are posting about aid money and I want everyone to be made aware the a lot of my post people from over seas have been seeing these post they might even be brazen to ask you or try to scam you of your money. If they comment or message you block and ignore them. The same scammers who also come by during graduation season also will try to scam you and most of them aren’t successful I like to remind everyone to be in the look out and if it doesn’t make sense or look right it might be a scam and move on.
Find it frustrating that CSU and UC systems are quick to take fafsa money but are slow to disburse to us. I get that it takes a few days for them the fafsa to send the school info and money but I do think they need to speed up the process I know many undergrads and also grad students like my self depend on the money to pay for school and supplies and housing.

I like to remind everyone here that scammers are on the lookout for people needing graduation tickets make sure you pay in cash and if a scammer wants you to pay first don’t. Always meet up and always ask them to use school email to hit you up. Dont be scammed I hate doing this every year because one person on here gets scammed. Be careful and be safe.
