Underside heat damaging/discoloring pavers?

Just got a X30” and love it. Have a new paver patio being finished but not done so we christened the Breeo on the lawn. Works amazing but did notice this morning the lawn below it was scorched. Anyone had it leave a burn mark over time on patio pavers? The pavers are some concrete material that’s stamped and some color added so I’m a little concerned.
Also - damn that top ring/lip gets hot. Do they make a secondary ring with a thermal break so you can put your feet on it?
Thx in advance.

The Trolls did not disappoint

It was also our first time to the Nature Center and the place is awesome (and we were all adults) bonus if you have kids. The Trolls are spectacular and it’s a shame they will not be permanently on display. Wandered around the grounds for 3 miles, plenty of places to sit and get some quiet even on a busy Saturday.

Dog owners - please do better

Saw this on the way up hurricane (and for the record, please carry it up with you, we don’t need to see a bag of shit on our hike you intend to grab on the way out) and sure enough on our way out (with nobody behind us) it was still there. So we took it out. Shit aside - awesome hike. Not a high peak but gains more elevation than Cascade and has a firepower up top.

Pitchoff Traverse

Can’t say this was a favorite. The West side up to Balanced Rock was great. The “summit” is in the woods. The traverse along the top was a lot more wooded than I imagined and nearly overgrown in places. The East end descent it borderline abandoned trail. We’ve been ticking off the trails we have never done and glad we ticked this one off. It was a great day out as always but the out and back to balanced rock is the best short hike option.

West Branch of the Ausable is fishing so well right now

Got 6 today in under 2 hours. Loving the rain keeping the water temp down.

Catamount delivers for a “small” 4.5 mile hike

Can’t believe we never hiked this gem in Wilmington (or just outside). A little over 2.2 miles one way but gains 1,800’ and has a ton of scrambling.
