Got it when it had a 90K AA miles offer for $5K spend in 4 months when it came into the market. Got LiveNation $100 gift card, got my $100 Splurge annual credit since it was one of my categories, heard I could use it for tickets on Ticketmaster.

Then got the 4 Admirals club passes in my AA account as soon as I got the card, heard they’re worth about $300. As soon as my anniversary hits, I get a $99 companion fare on AA, every anniversary with NO annual spending requirement unlike other cards, easily worth a $400 fare minus about $120-130 in taxes and fees for the flights I take typically.

This card is an easy bang for the annual fee bucks. You get the usual free checking bags for several in your party like any other airline card.

For the value it provides, if you take just 1 AA flight a year with someone, this one is a clear keeper for me.

Splurge credit $100, 4 Admirals Club passes, free checked bags and the companion fare. This mid tier card needs to be talked about more. AF is $350
