Cone 5/6 clay recommendations

What clay body would you recommend that is not very finicky, good for mugs and vases, and not very prone to cracks? I’m okay with some grog, but I also love a soft throwing clay. I might handbuild a bit too. I’d love something that gets vitrified enough for mugs/vases at cone 5 but I see too many options out there. Thanks for your input!

My biggest piece so far

Got to make this for Mother’s Day and I’m really happy with it! It’s the biggest piece I’ve made so far. I think it’s around 10 pounds.

The bottom is relatively thick… and I’m concerned about flipping it over on this rim. How do y’all dry these types of pots that have a more delicate rim? It’s in a greenhouse tent thingy so that will slow the drying process. Should I also cover it? Or trim the bottom out a bit from the inside?

Excited to come up with some glaze ideas!
