Advice for 2nd/3rd round interview for new grad nurse
I'm located in Seattle and I'm struggling to land a position in the area. Graduated August 2025 + passed the NCLEX November 2025. I've applied for many of the residencies and have gotten through the second or third round with no luck being placed (Children's and UW) and I'm currently in the pipeline for the new grad residency at Swedish. The feedback that I've received is that I have 'too much' experience because I was doing home health care for over 5 years before I went back to school for nursing, however, I usually don't qualify for any other nursing opportunities because I've only had my license for ~8 months. Any advice, tips or experiences would be super appreciated as I'm coming up on a year out of school which I know will also work against me in these opportunities.
