THEY GAVE UP SIX RUNS IN THE NINTH? HOLY SMOKES. THANK GOD I TURNED IT OFF.

I had never been that bored, that disconnected from the team in my life. I honestly think the Mets are gone.....

Today was the first time I ever turned a Mets game off. They did something to this team alright.

It's called destruction.

This is beyond "losing."

This is a debacle.

It is a destruction of a fans love of the game.

Congratulations to Steve Cohen, David Stearns, and their loyal supporters.

Enjoy your positive feedback loops because even your rage bait isnt working anymore.

Baseball is dead.

Wagaman is hitting fifth over Alvarez when he should never bat above ninth or be in the lineup at all. These types of moves are what makes people think the GM is sabotaging the team.

There is no reality where this makes sense.

This 25 man roster being 16 games under .500 means theres something wrong with the owner, GM, and coaching and medical staff.

Bichette: PCL strain

Manea: Elbow

Lindor: Calf

Tong/Mclean/Scott: coaching development

Baty/Vientos: Coaching

Alvarez: Coaching (see chase rate)

Positives: Benge: getting on top of up and in fastball ELITE

Ewing : Plate Discipline ELITE

The hype of the psychopaths: their speed and defense is not and never will be gold gloves and you can expect a lot of misplays and awkward steps

The GM: is unexplainable. Comfortable with $80 M to Semien in ages 35-38 seasons but not comfortable with Alonso in years 4 and 5 ages 34-35 for $60 M(franchise legend who would be in his swan song).

Did not aggressively persue Edwin Diaz and wanted him to come back to NYM with the offer.

Signs a closer for $51 M and waits till December to offer the second best closer in baseball a contract:

does not communicate the supposed plan that Williams was meant to be a set up man.

It gets worse: The Nimmo trade saves $20 M in 2030 but wastes $80 M right now and for three years. Nimmo could have been useful even on the bench. (He was not blocking Benge because CB is a CF and Ewing can play 2b)

Semien is blocking hoards of infielders.

Robert was/will be soon a block to any number of CFrs

The GM says he wants to improve run prevention and still does not have a first baseman on the roster.

Stearns offered Polanco $6 more million to Polanco than Murakami.

He somehow was not concerned with Bichttes PCL which as we can see on TV he has trouble putting weight on.

Last year, Lindor played on a broken toe the entire second half. He had one day off and one day as DH. This over compensation, basic physiology, probably lead to a calf strain.

Now lets get to one of the worst moves, horrendous: EVEN with the numbers JETT Wiliiams has now, I STILL would not trade him AND Sproat (3.00 ERA in June, league min and controllable for six seasons) for one year of Peralta and one of the worst relievers we have seen in a while, Tobias Myers.

At best, you will keep Peralta for $150 M whlle MIL pays not more than $12 /M for both of the players they got for their MIL careers.

and BTW: Williams will turn it around: he has good plate discipline, raw speed, power, versatility.

Sproat is already better than Peralta.

And yet, Steve Cohen is an innocent bystander--all of this happened under his nose.

They never had an interest in winning a WS: We went from 2 games from the WS to the worst team in baseball and an owner worried about the future.

Welcome to yet another dark age in Mets history where every bright spot on this team will be wasted and we are suckers for supporting this product and MLB knows it.

Imagine being a Dutch soccer fan /Mets fan and before you turn on the Dutch game, the coach SHUFFLES THE LINEUP (Formation) which leads to a loss? Sound familiar.

"Fuotball won today." Said the media about Morroco beating Netherlands.

Or its just yet another organization that rails some of the most loyal fans in the world.

Every four years another disgrace.

Every day a disgrace called the Mets.

I am about to quit sports....just this one time....

Vientos over Mauricio vs a righty. No consistency by this organization.

Its rage bait. Just damn right weird these lineups for the last 1.5 years.

If Cohen wanted Alonso, Diaz, Bichette, Valdez ....you name it....they would be on this team. Am I defending Stearns? Not by a long shot, he is responsible. But lets not act like Cohen is just some innocent bystander to Demolition Man from MIL.

What I want to know is who the hell is making these lineups and defenses and why.

At this point, I honestly think the CIA is running the Mets so they can expose them.

My theory is that owners, GMs, players all run gambling schemes etc and the government has shit on them.

Why make the Mets do this? To expose decades of fraud.

If the mets start acting like a normal team...they could hide the past.

Now the powers that be want to expose not only the scammers....but the fans who enable it.

Folks this Wilpons 2.0, just on steroids.....inflated contract of very bad players and helping other small markets win.

YOU CANT DEFEND THESE LINEUPS.

The more the Mets act ridiculously, the more the public gets outraged.

How many times have we seen absolute scrubs bat 1-4? How many times have we seen a bad defense.

So now, I want them to go full on rig job.

Keep rolling out these lineups, keep embarrassing yourselves until Cohen, Stearns and the rest of MLB who enables this garbage----and the fans who defend it, get isolated like an evasive fungus.

I have a newsflash for you "fans," Steve Cohen is not a good person.

He is not a good owner. He is here to make money.

He wants the Mets to lose.

The Mets are "Jobbers."

The owners split the pot.

Ronny M has 300 career atbats, Vientos and Baty have around 12-1300 at bats each. Is Ronny gonna be good? Probably not but lets not act like they shopuld all be in the same sentence.

This franchise, this fan base, these reporters have become a true American embarrassment.

The off season, the pitching, and these lineups....it is nothing short of a team destroying itself.

and because these fans are nihilistic, they defend it.

I am about close to taking a sabbatical from the Mets for a few seasons or maybe from their regular (regularly) seasons.

This is what happens when YES MEN and LIARS run baseball and journalism.

Just handing out wins.

I think the term here is called "jobber."

Mauricio just broke my heart there. Got a fat pitch to hit there.

Honestly may have just broke my fandom entirely there.

This is one of the worst experiences I have ever had as a fan.

First the lineups....Wagaman.....and then to see ten men left on base.....

I just want to thank David Stearns and all of the betas in this forum.

You have successfully destroyed our voices and our love of the game.

Congrats, enjoy your nihilism.

So when Wagaman leaves SIX guys on base in two at bats and fans here defended him batting cleanup.....what does it say about you?

I hate you people.

They traded Jett Williams (number one offensive prospect) for a reliever who throws BP (Tobias Myers), and ya'll still don't think Stearns came here to destroy the Mets.

Six months of Peralta for your number one pitching prospect, Brandon Sproat. (league min for the next six years for guy who wants 150-210 M for six.)

Even Williams and Sproat's bad stats STILL makes it a bad trade but they will eventually be good players.

I think some of you fans need to be studied by psychologists for your pathological lying, tone policing, deflections, and trolling.

Honestly, I cannot even grade what was the worst off season move, they are all so uniquely bad that it has destroyed my love of baseball.

But I get the strategy by the apologists, if they win, you troll critical fans, if they lose, you troll critical fans.

You support your unholy father no matter what and play superior either way.

But the game of baseball---isnt a pasttime for you, its harassing fans with an actual voice.

You aint .....(dont want to get banned)

David Stearns constructed the worst team in baseball with $400 M

THINK ABOUT IT: HE HAS NO STARTING PITCHING IN THE ENITRE ORGINIZATION!

A FULL CALENDER YEAR OF THE TEAM FALLING BEHIND 4-0 BY THE 3rd INNING!

Not only did he ruin 2025 with A) lack of pitching B) lineup musical chairs, he avoided accountability and scapegoated the players that were good or great.

You mean to tell me that he doesn't address the teams weakness and then subtracts from our strength?

WHAT???

Not only does he let MLBs RBI king since 2019 walk but the second best closer in the game walks too---the worst part about that? He commits $140M to Semien, Polanco, and Robert.

IT GETS WORSE.

He trades TWO TOP PROSPECTS for a RENTAL who cant pitch more than five innings and a MIDDLE RELIEVER with a 3.68 career ERA who cant top 93 MPH.

SIX YEARS OF CONTROL OF SPROAT AT THE LEAGUE MINIMUM FOR A RENTAL THAT WANTS $200M FOR THE SAME YEARS AND NUMBERS.

WE SAID SPROAT WILL BE FINE. WE SAID WILLIAMS WILL BE FINE. THE FORMER HAS TURNED IT AROUND.

WHERE IN THE HISTORY OF BASEBALL HAS A TOP OFFENSIVE PROSPECT BEEN TRADED FOR A LOW LEVERAGE RELIEVER.

PERALTA WAS NEVER WORTH SPROAT.

Then there is Nimmo: Stearns had fear of Nimmo's 20 M owed in 2030, which is all he saved only to import a 35 year old with three years and 80 million left WHEN HE WAS ALREADY TWO YEARS INTO A STEEP DECLINE.

Afraid of Nimmos contract when he hasnt yet declined only to trade for 3 years of a player already in decline?

Even a bad Nimmo has 150 more OPS points!

Semiens defense is now NEGATIVE in DRS.

Second base was a position of surplus for the NYM.

NEWS FLASH METS FANS: Nimmo would not be blocking Benge who is a CFr, because Ewing is a SECOND BASEMAN.

You know who else needed a shot or may need to be at second base: MAURICIO, BICHETTE, LINDOR, BATY.

and BTW, McNeil has the same OPS as Semien for around $50 less million.

They cant explain it, the "LOLMETSFANS" (corporate unpaid intern trolls), so they try to defelct with comments like "touch gross," "its just one game," "someone is off their meds."

GASLIGHTING PEOPLE IS T?HE MENTAL HEALTH ISSUE YOU KEEP TRYING TO PROJECT

Stearns is an anti-christ. This is the most abysmal two years ever.

The context being the payroll. I am at a loss for words. The only thing I can think of was that the rainout was a needed break from this team. some of you "fans" who troll us for criticizing Stearns, Cohen and the Mets, are shameless, energy vampires.

This is the biggest disaster in the history of the Mets, coming off the 2024 NLCS and this utter mismanagement of funds. Its clear to me that the Mets sign who they are told to sign. A normal team would rather spend that money on Alonso, Diaz etc..Stearns....Cohen, you have betrayed the city of NY.

Its just weird.

210 M on Semien, Polanco, Williams, Weaver, Montas, Robert....

Have you seen Alonsos numbers? .808/16HR/48RBI 3 +DRS

60 percent of HR to opposite field a 40% increase of yearly average or something like that
