Any suggestions?

Wondering if anyone has any suggestions for allergies? Currently he is eating Purina Pro Plan - Sensitive Skin & Stomach. I give him an oil supplement omega 3 salmon oil. He is very itchy though, scratching and leaving marks. There is quite a bit of dandruff. Not sure what to do for the poor guy ☹️

We have been working on clearing up skin after a food change and seasonal allergies … but I just can’t seem to get this patch to clear. Any suggestions?

Husband’s Retrieval Success

Just wanted to share a little hope for anyone who may be going through what my husband and I have been. Today we had a win!
For a little background info. We have been together 10 years, married 3 and been trying for 3 years. Ontario Canada.

About a year ago we were referred to a fertility clinic by our GP. we got in quite quickly and began testing.

My AMH level came back low, but my sono came back normal. The problem really began with my husbands SA. 0 sperm. Azoospermia. Our greatest nightmare. It was such a blow to the guts. He had a MRI, and genetic testing done looking for the CF gene. The urologist was quite sure he had CBAVD. (No Vas Deferens) or Obstructive Azoospermia. Unfortunately we are still waiting for the genetic testing results and there was also an error with the radiologist report on the MRI. So we don’t have formal confirmation yet on the diagnosis. Gotta love the Ontario health system. His urologist went ahead and booked us in for a sperm retrieval because regardless, if we were going to conceive it would have to be via IVF.

Today we went in for his sperm retrieval and to say we were nervous was a large understatement. The clinic was great, and the doctor was confident he would find sperm as all my husbands hormone levels were normal.

Sure enough, 30 mins later the doctor came out giving me 2 thumbs up. He said it went beautifully. It was an amazing sample “one of the best the labs has seen” we are elated. After what has felt like, never ending bad appointments finally, we left today feeling good. The doctor was able to just do a PESA and we now have a full vial of sperm to freeze.

We are hoping our government funding will come in by the end of the year so we can begin the process for my egg retrieval. I am also on a journey to lower my BMI as I do not qualify for any pain medication right now to do the retrieval, which is quite terrifying. At this point, though we will do whatever we need to do and I will endure whatever pain is needed.

I keep saying to everybody that these appointments you have to just take one at a time, but I feel so relieved to know that today’s appointment was positive. I will take my win. Since they seem to be few and far between.

Anyways, all of this to say, if you have recently gotten the Azoospermia diagnosis don’t feel like you are hitting a stop sign. I know it can feel like it. It can be terrifying, but just know you will get through it together and it will only make you stronger as a couple. We still have a long road ahead of us, but feeling really grateful today.
