Got Old Battery in New Kit

I bought a new DeWalt 60v Tool + Battery kit at Bomgaars. Upon unboxing I noticed the battery was 2 years old (2024).

Now I’m wondering, should I try to exchange it or something? Would they think I’m just trying to exchange one of my old batteries for a new one?

What do you all do in this situation?

Thanks in advance!

How I Cope with Zwift Problems

Zwift often produces glitches and errors for me. Regularly stealing drops and mileage due to app crashes. Happens on multiple different setups, while using the latest versions of Apple TV.

All apps are kept up to date, troubleshot using best practices etc.. I’ve also bought new hardware again and again, thinking the problem was on my end.

Over the years I’ve learned this is just how Zwift is and customer support has shown they don’t care. In fact, Zwift pushes the role of customer support onto their own customers, by trying to get the community to do work for them. Somehow this community doesn’t realize the insanity of this situation.

Don’t expect Zwift to work and don’t expect drops and stats from rides. Then when it does work it’s a pleasant and unexpected surprise. This works really well for me, although Zwift has become less important too, as a result.

This is how I cope with consistent Zwift problems over the years. I wanted to share since I have seen an uptick in complaints from others.

UPDATE:

The most common glitch I experience is during a long ride Zwift will abruptly kick me out of the ride. Sometimes this happens after I’ve racked up a lot of drops and miles. Zwift never credits me those drops or miles, they are always lost to the ether.

This always happens on Apple TV. Occasionally there will be an app update that is stable but inevitably these glitches come back in full force in future updates.

Apple TV paired with Wahoo Kickr. I’ve tried multiple Apple TVs and multiple Kickrs. Not to mention everything else that’s been suggested over the years.

Because I’ve tried different hardware and all the troubleshooting suggesting, in combination wth the fact that some app updates are stable and some are INSANELY buggy, I think it’s clear that this is Zwift’s problem.
