1st build! So so so happy!

I’m going to start with a big thank you to all the folks participating in this hobby who have inspired me to make the move to build my first watch. What a fantastic way to create something, and destress from work while stressing about the seconds hand and stem cutting ;-)

I had so much fun coming up with a design, inspired by my car. So obviously the theme is black with yellow, so the added touches were the date wheel and crown replacements to match. I wanted something super legible, and I’m so happy the final result is everything I was hoping it would be.

Changing the date wheel was… challenging to say the least. This was my first time “working” on a watch, and everything went wrong. The screws are tiny, they hold two metal plates that are super tricky to re-align while screwing everything back together, then a lost a screw, then the wheel wouldn’t turn anymore… 4 hours later I finally had a movement that had a new date wheel!!!

For those of you who haven’t done their first build yet: absolutely go ahead and do it. The pride in wearing something you built is hard to describe, I won’t, I know you will experience that yourself.

“Treat others like you want to be treated”, so here are all the parts I used (besides the obvious NH35 that had a white date wheel):

Axis setup: looking for my next front wing

Hello foiling experts,

I'm currently using an ART V2 999 front wing, with a Skinny 365/55 stab.

I'm looking for my next front wing in my progression. My program is purely wingfoiling, looking to go faster, and trying to start progressing from my bunny hops to slightly higher jumps. Riding bumps flagging the wing is also in the program. I'm 90kg.

Would a Fireball 1000 be a good option? It would be a substantial area reduction, from 1038cm2 to 773cm2.

Thank you for your input.
