Launch control xl 3 bi-directional midi feedback

Hello, I’d like to get LCXL3 to map parameters in my MPC live 3, basically create a couple of custom templates to control some VSTs. But I need to make sure it works the way I need it to:

If values on encoders are all set to 0 and I load a preset on my VST, will the LCXL 3 receive midi values from VST and adjust brightness of the LEDs accordingly? Same if I change value on MPC, will the value on LC update and match in real time? When I change the preset in VST, will all the values be sent to LCs encoders to match? - I know its all the same question/behaviour, I just want to be clear.

I don’t mind using midi cables if necessary, I just need the controller work as described.

AI says its possible, I just need a real user to confirm before spending money.

Thank you!

Akai is cooking with this update

Seriously this gives me hope for bringing mpc 3 from beta to a full version.

Been playing around with the oscillators and this shit rocks. It has so much potential and I’ve never seen it coming. I’m not even mad that I got the Jura vst just a couple of days ago.

Add the 16 envelope followers/LFOs to the mix, 24 mod matrix routes, q links, automations, effects .. this a is serious sound design tool with touch screen .. ill probably get a midi controller with shitload of knobs and some faders, will print out some layout, link everything and save as a template file .. I am coming from a daw with serum as a default plugin for everything and this shit just made me happy, cause I can probably achieve very similar things in standalone now.

++ mpc as a plugin in daw, arranger in desktop version (is there a clip matrix too? Haven’t tried it yet) .. very satisfying update and I’m glad I did the move from pc to live 3 recently.

Just a friendly reminder: always check release notes for each update, you can find everything that has been pushed in those updates, + known issues, so you know what to avoid :)

Love you Akai and thanks for restoring the hope 🙏
