Poirot's book in The Adventure of the Egyptian Tomb - Real or Fake?
I'm wondering if anyone else was ever curious about the book Poirot is reading in The Adventure of the Egyptian Tomb (S5, E1) of the ITV British series with David Suchet? The book title on the front cover and spine reads: "The Magic of the Egyptians and Chaldeans" (see pics). As far as I can find from my detective work, no such book exists. The closest references seem to be either to the chapter 'Magic of the Egyptians and Chaldeans' in Augustine Calmet's Phantom World (1850) or a dubious grimoir attributed to the monk Jonás Sufurino called The Supreme Black, Red and Infernal Magic of the Chaldeans and Egyptians.
Neither of these matches the book Poirot is reading in the scene. I suspect this was just a fictional title Christie wrote into the story, and which the later British series just fabricated as a stage prop for the episode, but any thoughts?
