Hey everyone,

I’ll be joining Collins Aerospace in Sterling, VA this summer (SEPP Engineering Intern, Summer 2026) working on Mission Systems and had a quick question about device policies/workplace restrictions.

How strict are things generally regarding phones/personal devices inside the office? Are phones usually allowed at your desk for normal use during the day, or are there restricted areas where devices aren’t permitted at all?

I know it probably depends on the program/building/security level, but I just wanted to get a general sense of what to expect at Collins/RTX sites, especially in Sterling.
