Anthony Edwards on who’s impressed him at training camp this year

“Cody Williams, I just love his defensive instincts. I think he could be really good in the NBA. His care factor has to go up a little more, just showing it, like everybody knows he cares but just showing it. Like you get a stop, let somebody know about it… other than that he brings intensity every day, his defense is incredible”

I still wish at least the statement jersey would say "Minnesota"

It's looks even better than just "Wolves" in front imo, the Jersey rotation would be perfect 💯

Who should the Wolves sign with their last ~$4.5M? (C/PF or PF/C)

Who should the Wolves sign with their last ~$4.5M?

Now that the Josh Green trade is done and Konchar is being stretched, the Wolves reportedly have around $4.5M of room under the 2nd apron and one roster spot left.

Since the starting lineup is basically set with Ant / LaMelo / Jaden / Kuminga / Rudy, I think that last spot should go to a veteran C/PF or PF/C who can give us some frontcourt depth.

Some names still available:

Kelly Olynyk — probably my #1. Shooting, passing, can play PF/C and would give Finch another offensive look.

Maxi Kleber — versatile defender, can switch, protect the rim and space the floor. If healthy, I really like the fit.

Xavier Tillman — probably the most interesting defensive option. Can play small-ball 5, defend multiple positions and do the dirty work.

Guerschon Yabusele — physical, can rebound and shoot enough to keep the floor spaced.

Mason Plumlee — veteran backup 5 who could give Rudy some traditional center minutes.

Chris Boucher — interesting as a 4/5 because of his length, shot-blocking and ability to stretch the floor.

Personally I'd rank them:

  1. Olynyk

  2. Kleber

  3. Tillman

  4. Yabusele

  5. Boucher

  6. Plumlee

I think Olynyk makes the most sense. The Wolves don't necessarily need another guy who just takes up space at the 5 — they need someone who can survive minutes without Rudy while also fitting next to him in certain lineups.

Who are you signing with the last roster spot?

No wonder Wooski don't hang around 63rd that much anymore 😂

These TWs pancakes became from super GD to super GDK😅. No wonder Wooski went back to his original block at HW

Baela and Rhaena's appearances doesn't really make any sense genetically

I think one thing people often forget when discussing Baela and Rhaena is that they’re Daemon’s daughters lol. People seem to look at them and immediately think “Velaryon,” when genetically they actually have more Targaryen ancestry than Velaryon ancestry.

I’ve also seen people argue that Baela and Rhaena being portrayed as Black makes perfect sense because they’re Velaryons, but I don’t really buy that based on their actual ancestry.

Their mother, Laena, is half Velaryon and half Targaryen, while their father, Daemon is fully Targaryen. That would make Baela and Rhaena roughly ¼ Velaryon and ¾ Targaryen by ancestry.

So if anything, they’re actually more Targaryen than Velaryon.

And the Velaryon side itself is only one part of their lineage. So if we’re talking about the show’s own visual logic and treating Valyrian ancestry as something that affects appearance, I don’t think it’s unreasonable to question why they’re depicted with very clearly Black features.

This isn't an argument about whether Black actors should play characters in fantasy. It’s specifically about whether the adaptation’s character designs are consistent with the family genetics/ancestry established in the story.

And honestly, I think people sometimes forget that Baela and Rhaena aren't just “Velaryon girls.” They are "Daemon Targaryen’s daughters"and Daemon is 100% Targaryen.

Do we have the best Jersey Rotation in the NBA now ?

How would u ranked our new Jerseys ?

u/cyon83 — 4 months ago

The new Jerseys with better lighting

The media staff really messed it up. Not only did they give Jaden a oversized WHITE undershirt but they also chose a wrong lighting for the photoshoot to make the Jersey colors look very bright 🤣

u/cyon83 — 4 months ago

It's maybe not 100% the Jerseys we all wanted but it's huge upgrade to the last ones 🔥

u/cyon83 — 4 months ago

Am i the only one who thinks it looks better with blue lettering and a green-white lined outline.

u/cyon83 — 5 months ago

It not gonna happen but i would love if they had chosen different names on the Jerseys

u/cyon83 — 5 months ago

Do you agree ?

Am I the only one who's a bit disappointed with these new jerseys?

Don't get me wrong, they're definitely better than the current ones, but I expected a little more. I was hoping for something closer to the 2021 blue jerseys, at least. The font just looks pretty average and doesn't really stand out.

4️⃣ Four Corner Hustlers are the Gangster Disciples 🔱 from out west

The 4chs are the Gds of the west side. Foes are so deep out there they went all renegade and started beefing with each other.

Da 4s and Gs indeed share a lot of similarities even tho they are from da different side. They are argubally the 2 biggest black gangs in Chicago and also the most hated and least structured

Fun Fact: King Ray Longstreet who transformed the 4CHs from a gang into Corporation is the youngest brother of Don Ernest Lavern Longstreet the creator of the pitchwork symbol for the Gds 🔱.

Honorable mention of the most impactful 4️⃣ leader:

- Angelo "Chief Lo" Roberts

- Monroe "Money" Banks (LTown) Black Diamond founder

- Raymond "Shakey Shawn" Betts (Body Snatchers)

- Ray Longstreet (Brother of Ernest Lavern Longstreet)

Da Smart - Walk wit me (Chicago best Anthem ever 💯)

Back in 2006, Chicago had what I still consider the greatest city anthem ever made. The song really captured the neighborhoods, the different sides of the city, and even the gang/sets culture of that era in a way that felt authentic and timeless.

It got me thinking: does this generation of Chicago have anything similar?

Not just a hit song, but an anthem that really represents today’s Chicago culture — the neighborhoods, blocks, and different sets the way older classics did back then.

He made another made another Chicago Anthem almost 10 years later - you should listen to that one too (DA Smart - Where my Mobs at)
