Bio 202 final grade
Please guys email the Bio department for the cut off! It's ridiculous that the avg for exam are low and there's not curve! This is what I emailed:
I received my final letter grade today on SOLAR and saw that I received a D in the course. I previously took this course during Fall 2025, and at that time my exam scores were low because I had difficulty understanding the lectures. This semester, however, I worked much harder and performed better on the midterms compared to last semester, yet | still received a D as my final grade.
In addition, there were multiple professors teaching throughout the semester, which made it difficult to adjust to different teaching styles and understand the main focus of the lectures and exams. I understand that it is the student's responsibility to study and review course material, but I specifically enrolled in the BIO 202 section that originally had one professor because I believed it would help me better understand the teaching style and exam expectations. However, there were several changes in instructors during the semester, and the exams were written collaboratively by multiple professors.
Additionally, the syllabus changed throughout the semester, which created confusion and felt unfair to students trying to keep up with course expectations.
1 believe many students may share similar concerns regarding the grading cutoff and overall structure of the course. I would like to respectfully ask whether there is any possibility of reviewing the grade cutoffs or providing clarification on how the final grades were determined.
If a lot of students complained, we have a chance to meet with the department and raise the grade! This is what happen in Fall 2025!
