Chest Burning For Years

Hi all, 21f, 4’11, 180 lbs.

I have played volleyball for about 15 years now, and was at a lower weight until I developed PCOS (used to be 125).

When I was about 16, I had smoked weed - and greened out! Because of that, I haven’t smoked since. However, since then I have had chest burning when working out and when playing volleyball.

Before I smoked, I was extremely well conditioned and never had any breathing difficulties whatsoever. So, I went to get checked out. I got an x ray and my chest looked clear, and they figured it was asthma. Unfortunately, the albuterol never helped relieve the burning and chest tightness. I’ve now had 3 or 4 chest x rays now, and my lungs have looked clear every time.

It happens when I’m sick, when i’m heavy breathing, and BURNS and it feels like I can’t take a full breath. The following hours my chest will still burn and slowly start to stop, but it will feel sore.

I’m not sure what other things it could be. My heart looks fine. I was seeing what I should bring up and to who (pulmonologist, primary)?

Please let me know if you have any ideas on what this could be! It’s frustrating and uncomfortable.

Shoes for Libero?

Hi all,

I am 21f 150 lb, 5’0 ft. I played volleyball for roughly 14 years and decided to take a break until now (about 3 year gap). One thing I have always struggled with is getting the right shoes. I had mizunos for a while that were okay, but not great.

The main issue is I am horribly flat footed and the pain has only gotten worse as I have gotten older, but most shoes I feel are too narrow for me. I need something supportive but light - and something that will actually fit the sides of my feet.

Was seeing if anyone had some recommendations? I’ve heard some really good things about Way of Wade, but mixed reviews on the width of them.
