Rented this lens and had to buy it. One of my favorites. The reach is incredible, price was great, and it continues to blow me away in quality.

I only shoot handheld and these are all from my R6mk2. I can dig up exposure settings if anyone wants them. Shutter speeds are between 1/500 - 1/1000, a couple might have gone down to 1/250. IS is impressive but it's still a very long lens so high shutter speeds help. Some of these are cropped, like the warbler portraits. I'm blown away by its ability to resolve details when exposed properly! Highly recommend.

Picked up these two Vivitar add-on lenses for free and decided to try them out for fun. Turns out the price was too high.

Was hoping to take some full-frame shots to see the whole image circle. The only lens I have that these fit on is an EF-s 55-250 IS STM. Unfortunately my R6mk2 locks into crop mode when mounting crop lenses, so I only got crop images. If anyone knows how to turn on full frame mode with EF-S lenses I'd be curious to try.

Photo 1 - the two Vivitar lenses (add-ons?). They screw onto the filter threads at the end of the lens. One is a 2.2x tele, and the other is a 0.43x wide angle /macro.

Photo 2 - 55-250mm adapted to R6mk2, at 250mm.

Photo 3 - Vivitar 0.43x wide angle + 55-250 on R6mk2 at 250mm. Yikes.

Photo 4 - Vivitar 2.2x tele + 55-250 on R6mk2 at 250mm. I turned off autofocus because I couldn't believe it was working. So this is manual focus, best I could get, and who moved the cloud into the house?

Ok so the wide angle is supposed to do macro too, let's check that out.

Photo 5 - 55-250mm on R6mk2 at 250mm and minimum focus distance

Photo 6 - Vivitar 0.43x wide angle / macro + 55-250 on R6mk2 at 250mm and minimum focus distance. Barf, just crop the original!

So yeah, super awful. Do not buy.
