Need some guidance regarding Erasmus Mundus progarm
Hi everyone,
I’m a Pakistani national currently pursuing a Bachelor’s in International Relations in Hungary on the Stipendium Hungaricum scholarship. I’m currently in my 5th semester and planning to apply for several Erasmus Mundus programmes for my Master’s:
- EMGS
- EPS
- MAPP
- IMSISS
- NOHA
- ILSPSD
My current CGPA is 4.5/5.0.
I'll give ielts and most probably I'll get 7 or 7.5 bands
Here’s a brief overview of my profile:
- Research/Policy internship at the Embassy of Pakistan in Hungary
- Internship at a law firm in Pakistan
- Participated in 2 summer schools — one law-related and one focused on Hungarian literature
- 2 publications related to IR in pakistani journals
- doing a tdk paper this semester
- International Student Ambassador at my university
- Stipendium Hungaricum Mentor for international students
- Actively involved in university organisations and student activities
- Participated in around 4 international conferences/events/projects
- Currently volunteering with several organisations
- Completed several additional courses related to IR/politics through Coursera, Amnesty International, etc.
- Received a National Higher Education Scholarship, awarded to top-performing students at my university
- Ranked 10th in my entire faculty for this scholarship
I’m particularly interested in international relations, security, European affairs, diplomacy and public policy.
I know Erasmus Mundus scholarships are extremely competitive, and I understand that there’s no way to know my chances for sure. But I’d really appreciate some honest feedback from people who have applied or been selected for EMGS, EPS, MAPP, IMSISS, NOHA, or ILSPSD.
How competitive does my profile look for these programmes, and what areas should I strengthen before applying?
Also, if anyone has experience with these specific programmes, I’d appreciate any advice on what they tend to value in applicants beyond GPA..
