Okay, maybe not another Zwilling Pro Santoku (that I got in the last box, with more paring knives), but I was seriously hoping for more storage containers than cordless appliances that would've just gone on ebay. They even sent another vacuum pump, though it's tempted to put that on ebay as well. The knife block is more than likely getting sold, as it's only got four slots and not incredibly useful, and the wood block on top smells like I just walked into Ikea. All in all, I'm happy with my purchase (which was $10 off when I redeemed some rewards points). And excuse the dirty table cloth. This is my ebay photo area, which has seen dozens of retro comptuers in the past three days.

My Zwilling XL Mystery box contents

Not gonna lie - I was actually hoping for some containers. I didn't know these Fresh & Seal containers were actually vacuum seal, but I got the vacuum pump, so it actually worked out. I lost all my food storage containers in my fire, so this was a win. Now do I think it's a good deal for $129 (I used some of my rewards points)? Not really. For maybe $99? Yes. All in all, I still think I fared okay. Also got a Zwilling Pro santoku and three Twin Grip paring knives, but it was primarily a "Welcome to vacuum sealing" starter kit.

I feel guilty, but I never heard of Staub before checking out the Zwilling outlet store

I had a structure fire a month ago and lost all my cookware and appliances. That said, in buying replacement items after insurance came through, I got some great deals on Zwilling Pro at the Zwilling outlet store and then saw some Dutch ovens. Always wanted one, but never really used cast iron aside from a crappy Lodge pan years ago, and bought a 5 qt bright cherry red Staub. Boy am I impressed. So impressed, I also bought a 7 qt bright yellow Staub to compliment it. Works pretty darn good on a single induction burner (until I rebuild to where I can use a proper range).

Also picked up an XL mystery box, so I'm intrigued what that might entail when it arrives tomorrow.
