Anything cheaper than uhaul ubox?

Can't drive so just renting a uhaul and driving is out. Uhaul ubox is quoting me around $2100 for a single ubox TX to MI including pickup and delivery. It's all boxes outside of two bed frames that I am willing to sell and replace if needed.

Any cheaper ideas?

Can anyone id this loft bed?

Trying to id this loft bed. Twin size, probably late 90's if I had to guess. My daughter has used it for close to 15 years and she was kid #4 for it. Trying to figure out the name and hopefully locate replacement bolts as we prepare to sell it in conjunction with a move. Can anyone help?

Eta: label says ikea but everything else has worn off

Best way to preserve floors?

I'm looking at buying a century house. The original wood floors are under carpet currently. I have multiple pets, so the carpet needs to go but I don't want them to destroy the floors either (knowing my senior pets they would). What's the best way to cover the wood with maybe linoleum or vinyl tile without harming the wood?

Roof replacement timeline?

If you've had your roof replaced recently, how long did it take from contact to completed install? Who does good fast roofs?

Looking at repairing a red tagged house with a friend. City is requiring a new roof done by a licensed contractor as well as a few other minor repairs to clear the red tag. Friend needs to move no later than mid September and we're wondering if we could even get it cleared for occupancy by then. Not wanting anything picky just a functioning roof to satisfy the city.

Uhaul vs ubox?

Which would you do? I'm trying to decide. Cross country move basically Mexican border to Canadian border.

U-Haul including gas is going to run me about $1,900 plus paying two friends $500 each to drive it as I don't drive. In addition to this I would also be covering meals for approximately 4 or 5 days.

Ubox it's going to be roughly 2,100. But my stuff would be tied up for close to 2 weeks which I could stagger a week either side of our actual move date and spread it out but we still would be without some of our stuff.

I'm trying to decide and mulling things over. I'm leaning towards ubox but on the other hand uhaul means our stuff is not out of our sight.

Texas eagle to Blue water connection likelyhood?

How likely am I to make the connection from the Texas eagle arriving in Chicago onto the Blue water on any given day? I know it's a two hour time theoretically but I also know the Texas eagle is often late. What's the usual fix by Amtrak if it's missed?

Meals with minimal texture?

I'm struggling with oral issues and texture is making it hard to get enough of the meal down before I hit a point where I just can't handle the overstimulation. Meat is the worst and that firm texture that requires chewing is just too much some days. I'm falling back to protein shakes and things like applesauce but that's not really great for me as I need higher protein, lower carb.

Ideas? Fwiw beans and nuts are out due to allergies and eggs just make me sick unless it's in something. I'm also working mostly with what I get from the food pantry so my home version of chopped is getting interesting.
