Great ride on Sunday. Let me say, finding a riding buddy here that also likes route planning, how much better could it get! This time he had his GoPro and was recording when I had a little wipeout in the mud but providence would have it that he caught a leaf right when it happened and so any evidence is lost! I mean that’s like me not having wiped out at all, right?
Seemingly ceaseless rains in July and the beginning of August means every ride is a little wetter than normal. But who doesn’t like splashing in puddles?
My work provides an extra day for the August long weekend so I took the day to ride to Tremblant and back. About 7 hrs of riding (as adventure bikes just seem to take longer!). A great way to spend the day.

Every chance I get to ride here I discover more incredible places! No bridges this time but plenty of water.
Closed roads are what put the adventure into Adventure Riding! I love rides where I don’t have any particular destination and just go where the road leads. Found all sorts of new places today!
Give me some sunshine and some water and life is restored after a long week!
Took a last minute ride to Prescott this evening. That’s less than an hour from my place but turned into 4-1/2 hr ride on what I consider the best bike out there. I love this bike.
Great couple of days buzzing around Quebec. Didn’t find out until my ride home there was a big Adv Bike event in La Pêche. I was riding please close to there. I would have joined in had I known. Next year!
Beautiful in Lanark County but man, that river is high this year!
