TV power supply blew up. Can it be fixed?

Hi,

My TV (Philips 43PUS6503/12) blew up with a bang while I was watching House of the Dragon season 3. There was a loud bang, some sparks, and then the TV died.

I took the back cover off and, as expected, the power supply appears to have been damaged. I've attached some pictures, and to me it looks like one of the small blue components exploded, causing the black burn mark next to it.

Can I simply replace that component, or is it likely that the root cause of the problem is somewhere else?

Thanks!

Hi all,

In two weeks, I’m taking my 15-year-old son to his first WEC race at Imola. We’re visiting from Denmark and staying in Bologna from Thursday to Monday, so we’ll be at the track all three days.

I’d really appreciate any tips to make the experience as great as possible:

  • Do trains between Bologna and Imola run frequently during race weekend, and is there any kind of multi-day or return ticket that makes sense?
  • As I understand it, there’s mostly “free” seating at the track. We’d like to move around—are there any corners or sections we should prioritise?
  • Apart from the race itself, are there any activities at the track worth checking out?
  • We’ll also spend some time in Bologna—any recommendations for a teenager who likes football, cars, sports, and gaming?

Any first-timer tips or things to avoid would also be hugely appreciated 🙂

Thanks in advance!
