Lake Oswego / Portland Public Schools dyslexia support?

My family is moving to the Portland area next summer and one of my kids is double-deficit dyslexic, so I’m looking for info on dyslexia intervention quality in the public schools systems in that area. I’d love to connect with anyone who has first hand experience with any schools in LOSD or PPS. Feel free to PM if you prefer not to mention specific schools in a public forum!

Public school dyslexia / SPED support Q's

Hello parents of Lake Oswego! We're researching the area for a move and have an autistic learner with double-deficit dyslexia and needs genuine dyslexia intervention, provided with fidelity. Does anyone have experience with the dyslexia support provided by LOSD? Any recommendations on specific elementary schools to lean toward or avoid? Private school is not an option for us at this time, so I'm only interested in hearing about the public school system.

Hello! My family is relocating to Portland and want to find live in an area that is walkable, family-friendly, safe, community-oriented.

Both of my kids are autistic; they struggle with compliance-based methods and do better in a social/emotional environment that focuses on relationships, multi-sensory learning and nurturing curiosity, rather than working toward test scores alone. They're currently in an "artful learning" school where they're celebrated for uniqueness and they do pretty well there.

One of them is a genius who is ahead in every subject and one of them is learning on their own schedule with additional challenges such as dyslexia.

So far Lewellyn elementary and Sabin look good based on what I've seen online. Science of Reading support is really important to us so that my dyslexic learner can thrive without hundreds of hours of tutoring outside of school. What districts / neighborhoods would you recommend for creative thinkers who learn at their own pace while also being able to walk to "third places" like coffee shops, parks, libraries, or similar spots?

My husband works from home and I'm transitioning from advertising to writing a novel, so we can live wherever, but I want to be inspired by our location; suburban wasteland is just not doing it for me in our current area! Editing to add: Our home budget will be somewhere between 500K and 800K if that helps narrow down neighborhood recs.
