One Month Update on Little Walter

So, it’s been just over a month and Walter has grown. He’s about 3-4 times the size he was when I caught him, which is great. His paws are huge so he’s going to be a big cat.

I left him with my parents for a week while I was out of town and when I returned, he acted like I was the villain in a Disney movie. Took about a week of being back with me and realizing that I’m the “food lady” so now he’s my buddy again (though I think he still loves my mom best).

He is a happy little boy and is into any and everything. I adopted another kitten, Margaret, who is about a month older than Walter and so he has a friend now. Kittens are always best in pairs.

Pretty Decent Trade

Second remote trade (five people still not ready). Pretty happy with this one. It’s been ages of trying and never getting a shiny Lugia so figured why not.

CDS got me yesterday when this little one found its way into my garage.

Received a notification from my camera system that there was movement in my garage. I have a California garage so that could have been anything but I saw this tiny little fluff walking towards my dog’s food bowl.

I snuck outside, blocked off the open side of the garage and tried to find it. I even left my utility room door open hoping it would run in the house.

After two hours of sweaty frustration (it’s 100% humidity) I went back inside my house hoping that another camera caught where it went. Went back to the garage camera and saw that the little turd had gone the opposite direction and into the attached “shop” part of the garage where the standup fridge and freezer are stored.

Knowing it was too small to set off the trap, I tied a string to the trap door and ran it out the window on the other side. I then set up a camera pointed towards the trap so I would know when it was inside. An hour later, the kitten was in the trap eating again and this time I was slick enough to get outside and pull the string.

This little guy (I think) thought he was 20 lbs and tried his best to bust through the trap. Got him in the house and in a two story kennel I keep ready for fosters, etc. After 20 minutes of hissing and spitting, he let me pet him then pick him up.

A few times a day I open up the kennel to pet him and play with his toys. Starting out with holding once a day but he should be sleeping on my head by next week.

Everyone, meet Walter (tbd).

Not sure if he got separated from momma or what but he’s very healthy other than fleas, which I’ll deal with today. Reset the bug trap and bought a kitten trap just in case any others show up.

I know Senator Miguez cried in his car after that

Context: A video of a Louisiana resident called Marshawn delivering a powerful speech during a State senate hearing went viral on multiple platforms earlier this week. This is the second part of that video and Senator Blake Miguez’ response as Marshawn was leaving.

I just know that car ride home was silent.

Edit: someone actually made a gif of this 💀

Edit 2: thank you for the awards 😂 let’s find a way to elect Marshawn so we can have Senators that are actually smart.

Edit 3: found him. His name is Marshan Camese (not Marshawn) and his Tik Tok account is @nolathaprogressive.
