OfferUp Blocking Now Hides Listings
Not sure when this changed but I just noticed OfferUp’s block feature now says blocked users can no longer see your profile or listings.
Historically blocking on OfferUp mostly just stopped messaging. People complained about this for years because blocked users could still see listings, follow sellers around, lowball, harass, report spam or create drama.

Now the app explicitly says:
“This user will no longer be able to message you, see your profile, or see your listings.”

Honestly this is a step in the right direction. Anyone who sells on OfferUp knows there are trolls, weirdos, harassers, repeat lowballers and people who just waste your time. If someone gets blocked there is usually a reason.
I have no idea if this is a full rollout yet because there does not seem to be much discussion online about it, but if this is a real change then good.
