30 Days Post Opp

Well , my first thirty days are over. I was concerned at first. Worried about all the side effects. Honestly I was feeling very good going into my follow up. My surgeon is happy with my progress, but still told me I can’t start pt until week six. I haven’t had pain meds since day three. Totally independent of cane or walker. I can take stairs like a regular person.my limo is much, much less.. Driving since week two. The only issue I have is getting comfortable after I wake up on the middle of the night. I honestly feel very lucky my recovery is going so well. I hope all is well with all of you. ❤️

Am I doing too much?

Tomorrow marks a week since my procedure. My only side effects were constipation due to the opioid use and incontinence which I think was related to the nerve block. My appetite is still far from normal. I have been walking around my house sans walker or cane. ( always have one at arms length). I haven’t taken anything for pain in two days. I’ve resumed some household duties but I’ve been warned to chill and be patient. My partner has not been as helpful as I would have liked. I’m afraid of overdoing it and causing much more trauma. Suggestions? opinions?

Post Opp: 5 days

Hello gang. This is my first major surgery. Not sure what to expect. I’m having some difficulty sleeping. Are there any alternatives to the wedge I am supposed to sleep with ??? I can’t get it on by myself and my partner has been less than helpful.

Edges and breakage

I’ve been dealing with edges for years. Now I’m starting to experience breakage down the center and back. I’ve tried so many products. Does anything help?????
