Thoughts on cover?

It's very off-meta, but what do you think? The book is sci-fi with cyberpunk noir elements. Hoping to launch fairly soon, don't want to mess it up!

Is it worth releasing my horribly off-meta sci fi thriller?

Basically the title. I have a science fiction novel almost ready to go, it's a 94k standalone with cyberpunk noir leanings & a generous splash of comedy. Nothing that makes me think it's going to be a smash hit on RR.

I plan to self-pub on Amazon at some point, but I gather a single book on its own isn't likely to do well there either. So I'm working on a comic fantasy series, and plan on launching them all in fairly quick succession once I have a total of 3-4 books ready.

My question is... is there any point releasing the sci fi here? I wouldn't expect big numbers, but even a few reads is motivation. It would be nice to see someone enjoying it. Right now it feels like there's always a list of ten things I need to do before publishing, and every time I cross one off the list, two more get added. Oh, you've finished the book? Now write three more. At this rate, I'm worried by the time I'm ready to launch, there won't be any human writers left anyway.

Is there any downside to releasing a flop on RR, beyond a bruised ego? I'm guessing the comic fantasy would do a lot better here, so is there any risk I'll torpedo my chances with that one by releasing something that falls flat on its face first?

Cover for my reader magnet

How's this looking? The cover story is comic sci fi with nostalgic vibes, but the rest of the collection is a mix, so I'm aiming for a balance between funny & professional.
