Will Vaulks and Tom Ince in League Two is pretty good going. A fairly solid midfield, but maybe some weakness in defence? Not sure where the money for these is coming from - could it be an early investment by the new owners?

Male, 25, won promotion last season to League Two with York City, who finished the campaign as National League champions. His 19 clean sheets earned him the National League Golden Glove award for 2025/26, the second season in a row he won the trophy.

After more than a decade in the Leeds United academy, he gained valuable senior experience in two years at Worthing and a year at Dorking Wanderers, prior to joining York in 2024. Male has represented England at U15, U16, and U17, making his debut at just fourteen, and won an England C cap in 2023.

He played the full 90 minutes last Friday, keeping a clean sheet in Rovers’ 3-0 victory over the PFA.

Speaking after signing, Harrison said:

“The lads have all been great with me and I can’t wait to get in front of the fans and show them what I can do.”
