what should i do in this shady area? (morning sun only, east facing)

Looking for some ideas please! I’m all for native plants and colorful flowers 🌸I don’t want to block too much of the windows because my indoor plants are inside and like the sun.

need help converting 75gal to planted

i set this 75 gallon tank up in 2019 when i was in 7th grade and used fake plants and gravel. now im older and i’ve had planted tanks for about 5 years but ive been hesitant to change this tank to planted because i haven’t had much success (i always have issues with algae). however, i think im ready to slowly start adding epiphytes to this tank and need some help.

  1. can someone please recommend a good light? i once saw a youtuber (i think MD fish tanks) use an outdoor garage light hung over his large fish tank, would something like that work? i wouldn’t like to spend a crazy amount of money
  2. i’m thinking about changing the filter. right now it’s a hang on back that i got in 2019 and it’s always breaking. would a canister filter be a good fit? any recommended affordable brands?
  3. any other tips would be appreciated - certain plants, how to start adding them, good fertilizer, etc
    thank you!
