2 years into my Mounjaro journey, 45-50lbs down (nice side benefit compared to lower blood sugar and inflammation) and roughly low 30% bodyfat down to a shocking 12.9% (per DEXA last week). At 50 years old I bought and wore a pair of size 32 pants from Uniqlo this week (32x32, first time I have been symmetric since maybe high school). It is so weird to not have to head into the fat guys corner/section and be able to buy regular clothes that are what the fashion industry is selling. Honestly my self confidence is also higher than ever, since I don't have to hide myself anymore and I feel comfortable being a presence.
I am in awe of this drug that not just saved my life (high blood sugar plus inflammation (and lipids) were causing a lot of plaque in my veins) and, as a side benefit, gave me a body that looks good (for a 50yo...). Ironically now I have to spend money to make myself look good, but that seems like a fair tradeoff to me.
