Lensology Meta Adventurer lenses — mine didn't fit and support basically shrugged
Just wanted to share my experience in case anyone's thinking about ordering replacement lenses from Lensology for the Meta Adventurer.
Ordered their non-prescription Transitions XTRActive lenses (brown, 49mm frame) for $161. They showed up noticeably bigger and thicker than the stock lenses. Like, visibly bigger side by side. They do not fit in the frame, at all.
I sent them comparison photos and followed their install video exactly. Still no go. I'm not forcing them in because I don't want to crack the frame.
Their support told me the lenses are "sized up ever so slightly" on purpose so the prescription fits securely, and that they use the same trace file for 20,000+ orders. And his suggestion was to take them to an optician or LensCrafters — for $161 lenses that were supposed to fit out of the box. And honestly, I don't think that will work either. I just can't fit them in.
I asked them to authorize a DHL return so they can inspect, remake them in the right size or refund me, and waive the $25 return label fee. That was Oct 8. Radio silence since.
Anyway, just a heads up.
And 2 questions: has anyone here actually gotten a refund from Lensology? And where do you all get replacement lenses for Meta glasses — I need a reliable source for Transitions XTRActive that actually fits.
