This might sound crazy, but shouldn't we be putting fridges in our walls?
Every winter I think about how much energy I'm blowing to keep my food frozen and refrigarated. It's so cold outside, I'm having to keep the taps dripping. The heater is blasting. And at the same time, I'm burning energy to keep my food cold. Wouldn't it make more sense to build fridges/freezers in an exterior facing wall, where they can work with the outside air during the wintertime, and the inside air in the summertime?
Place to walk for cardiac rehab? A/C, plenty of benches, generally safe
I am looking for a place I can take someone with a walker who is going through cardiac rehab. Somewhere that's air conditioned, with a lot of seating in case the person needs to take a break. Looking ITP, preferably Midtown area or south. Any suggestions?
SPR drained by ~3 million barrels this week, to 316 million. Slowing down?
It looks like they're slowing the draws.
Does this mean it's close to empty, or did the oil prices fall far enough that they're saving what's left for when they spike again?
Have you seen this documentary about the NYC fires in the 70s & does this change the way you see the Lamb and the character of Rael?
I saw this documentary recently about the fires and it gave me a different perspective on The Lamb, but wanted to see if anyone elsr felt the same wau
Non "smart" EVs with analogue features?
I really like the idea of getting away from a gas vehicle, being better for the environment, but there's something offputting about so many of these new EVs. They all seem like riding inside of a giant computer.
There's a huge tablet in the middle of the dash, sometimes you have a literal heads up display, drawing around stuff in the road while you're driving around it... it is all so wild and offputting, it's got me worried this is going to be the only option going forward.
Is there not an EV out there that keeps the tech under the hood, uses dials on the speedometer, charge level, & tachometer, and just uses physical buttons and knobs for everything?
Phil-era songs Peter could sing
Are there any Phil-era songs that you could hear Peter singing?
I remember someone mentioned Eleventh Earl of Mar. I think All In A Mouse's Night would have worked well too.
I think Abacab might have sounded pretty cool with Peter on vocals too. Sort of the way he sounds on "Modern Love" or "And Through the Wire". Any others you think he'd give an edge to?
Also want to ask if there *is* any time where Peter sang any post-Lamb Genesis songs— if so I have missed out
Looking for mechanic, southside ITP specializing in wiring/electronics
We live in East Point and I've got a Hyundai that is acting weird with the lights. The brake lights stay on even when the car is off, and now two of them are burnt out. I'm having to unplug the brake lights when I come home.
I need a recommendation for someone who's affordable near where I live to help fix whatever's wrong without trying to finesse me. Does anyone have any recommendations?
Can you vote in one party primary but vote in the runoff of the other?
I am considering voting for Brad Raffensperger in the R primary, because the other two guys do not need to be anywhere near the governor's office... people that could put us in danger in this state.
I think Raffensperger could be, maybe not my first choice, but another guy like Kemp, someone who can keep a level head under pressure and not do something crazy.
At the same time, if the D primary has a runoff, I would like to be able to vote in that one if there's a candidate I think is better... I am just not sure if that's possible if I cast a vote in the R primary previously.
Does anyone know about whether or not this is allowed, or whether I should just pick one or the other?
