How can I stop players believing everything an NPC says

My players have such a bad habit of believing everything that a character says to them, even when that person has lied to them multiple times in the past. Do you ever have this issue and how do you counter it?

Some examples:

  • "I know I attacked you last session but I definitely wont this time" - Immediately attacks them
  • "Come with me and I'll take you to the <goal>" - sketchy looking bandit takes them to an ambush
  • "Faction A are the good guys and Faction B are the bad guys" - Said by the evil faction about the others.

I joke with them that they've got to stop trusting everyone, and usually they regret it when they start getting attacked, but a year of gaming in and they still don't remember. I wonder if I can do anything else to push the message.

Anyone else taking meshtastic devices to greenman?

I tried these out last year with some DIY versions and it worked well. You can send text messages and share your location without needing data, you just Bluetooth to one of these devices (DIY your own for about £15 or this one I just got was £40 delivered).

Because it's a mesh network, the more people using them, the further the messages can spread as they ping between nodes to find their target (encrypted).

Not affiliated in any way, just think it's cool. More at www.Meshtastic.org

Does anyone else get skin sensitivity after eating gluten? I can't finally anything online

I was glutened last night and had awful stomach pain all day, dizzyness and brain fog as usual. But I also have been really sensitive to touch all over my body, like tiny pin pricks when something brushes my skin (firmer touch isn't as bad). There's no rash, hives or bumps etc.. Just the feeling.

I know I'm coeliac and know the main responses but I can't find anyone else online with this symptom and maybe it's unrelated?
