Best bath setup for a 7 month old who can't sit independently yet?

Hey everyone! My 7. 5month-old (6 months adjusted) has officially outgrown his Aquascale bath. He can sit in his high chair, but he isn't able to sit independently on the floor just yet.

I'm looking at getting either a bath seat or something like the Shnuggle, as I love the idea of being able to just pop him in and give him a bath without having to constantly support him.

He's also a big boy at around 10kg, so I'm looking for something that can safely support his weight and is suitable for a baby who can sit with support but isn't independently sitting yet.

I'm tossing up between a bath seat and the Shnuggle. Has anyone used either with a baby at a similar stage? What did you prefer, and are there any particular products you'd recommend?

Thanks in advance!

Austin parent infant program - any experiences?

Has anyone had experience with the Austin Mother Baby Unit/Parent Infant Program in Melbourne?

I’m being admitted on Sunday and feeling quite anxious about the overnight side of things. I have chronic migraine, and sleep deprivation is a major trigger for me. At home, my partner currently does the night shift so I can get enough sleep and avoid triggering a migraine.

The unit mentioned they’ll take bub for the first couple of nights so I can rest, but after that they’ll assess how I’m coping with overnight care. I completely understand that, but I’m feeling really worried about how the lack of sleep might affect my migraines.

I’m currently working with my neurologist to find an effective treatment plan and have a Botox appointment coming up soon, but it’s still a work in progress.

I’d really love to hear from anyone who’s been through the Austin MBU, especially whether staff were supportive and understanding around medical needs like this. Hoping for some reassurance before admission ❤️
