Hi !

I have done 10 years of music theory and 3 years of music writing, though note that my writing teacher isn't the best at explaining everything which is why some concepts might be vague. My music style is Chopin/Liszt/romantic period or some other composers like Erik Satie.

First of all, how can I write a good melody ? Right now I am trying to whistle it and invent something then write it down, though the result is not always very good, and the melody is rarely very developed and memorable. Next, I figured out that my bass lines (piano) were a bit repetitive (always an 8th then the rest of the chord twice) so I wanted to add more movement but it just looks like randomly adding notes (e.g. instead of C and E I will change it to E and G)

Pardon me if some vocabulary isn't perfect as I learnt it in French 😅
